Adding subcontractors and crews to a job

Last updated:

Subs, superintendents and foremen join a Cascade job in one of two ways: the general contractor's team invites them, or they scan a sign-up QR code posted at the job site. Each person uses a U.S. mobile number and agrees to receive texts. Subs never pay.

Option 1: Invite from the office

The general contractor's team invites each person. They get a secure sign-in link, confirm it with a one-time code sent to the phone or email they were invited at (or with Google, when invited by email), and check the agreements box, which includes consent to texts. Sign-in uses one-time codes, so there are no passwords to remember.

Option 2: QR code at the job site

Post a sign-up QR code on the job site. A worker who scans it fills in a short form (name, mobile number, company, trade and role) and checks the SMS consent box. A teammate approves each sign-up. This is the fastest way to get a new crew reporting on day one.

The consent box is unchecked by default, and nobody can join a job without checking it. Every message is operational, never marketing. Anyone can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Full details are on our Messaging Programs and SMS Consent pages.

Who sees what

Access is by role: admin, manager, superintendent, team member and safety manager. Subcontractors see only their own company's work.
